How Gridsnark handles player-entered room data in the current public-pilot app.
What the app stores
Gridsnark stores the room data needed to run a game: room settings, player display names, submitted buzzwords, votes, generated cards, marks, and winner or podium state.
How that data is used
That data is used to create rooms, let players join, keep game state synced live, and restore the current room state when players refresh or reconnect.
Analytics
The app includes lightweight product analytics for pageviews and key room flow events. Those analytics are intended to help improve the product experience during the public pilot.
What not to put in a room
Rooms are designed for casual team game content, not sensitive personal, financial, health, or regulated data. Keep room names, player names, and buzzwords free of anything you would not want shared with other room participants.
